Hana Kim, PhD, ABPP-Lieutenant Commander; US Public Health Service (USPHS). Dr. Hana Kim is an active duty psychologist within the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS), one of the eight uniformed services in the nation. The mission of the USPHS is to protect, promote and advance the health and safety of the general public. She is board-certified in Health Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology. She has primarily worked with veteran and active duty populations in the past 15 years and is currently stationed with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), responsible for overseeing behavioral health services for the Mid-Atlantic region to include the USCG’s sole accession training center.Â
Grace Kao, PhD, ABPP, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Kao a pain psychologist and associate professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is also the founding psychologist of the interdisciplinary chronic pain clinic at Texas Children’s Hospital and former faculty clinician at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Kao is board-certified in clinical health psychology and well- practiced in cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, with additional expertise in pediatric care, clinical hypnosis, and biofeedback. Professionally, she spends her time supporting patients and families who are navigating health and pain symptoms, providing instruction, consultation, and advisory board service and engaging in clinical research in the area of pain psychology. Additionally, she enjoys narrative writing and continually welcomes opportunities to write about health and healing.Â
 Overview:        Â
This webinar will explore the intersection of DEI and education and training from the perspective of both research and clinical training. Our two expert speakers will share insights
in each of these domains, particularly within the current landscape of practice. Our four objectives are: Describe how to use the ADDRESSING formulation within clinical supervision; Identify 2 methods by which to integrate DEI into clinical supervision; Describe the value of DEI to research and science for all; and Become more aware of differences between directed actions vs. pre-emptive adherence and why this distinction is important. Target audience is intermediate.

- Describe a mindful parenting approach and benefits for stress reduction.Â
- Describe the philosophy of minimalist parenting for the newborn to the pre -teen years and benefits for time management.Â
- Discuss how mindful parenting and minimalist parenting practices may be applied to support both parent and child well-being.Â
