I am a clinical psychologist with expertise in the treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD, and PTSD. I received my PhD from Drexel University, where I researched evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders. I completed my internship and fellowship at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. I trained at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania. I have focused my research, led trainings, and given professional talks on exposure-based treatments for these disorders. As such, I am equipped to provide the most potent and effective treatments available for anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. I utilize evidence-based treatments tailored to meet clients’ individual needs and integrated with the most up-to-date scientific research.
My approach is based primarily in CBT, though I integrate dialectical behavior therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. My clinical style is warm, approachable, and compassionate, while also being direct and at times, humorous. I believe in transparency and answering clients’ questions directly and honestly. Through my approach, I aim to teach clients skills that improve how they feel, increase their sense of control over their lives, and empower them to believe in their own ability to manage challenges as they arise. I hope to teach them to become their own therapist. I deeply care about the patients I work with, and I truly love what I do!
