Society for Clinical Psychology Inaugural Conference: The Future of Clinical Psychological Science

Conference Mission Statement: SCP (APA/Division 12) is a leader in defining empirically supported psychological treatments and assessments. The goal of this inaugural conference is to convene professionals and trainees who are passionate about this area for a weekend of dialogues about the future of clinical psychological science and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

Conference Details: The conference will be held from Thursday, February 1st through Saturday, February 3rd at the Emory Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia. More details can be found at the conference website here

Call for Proposals: In addition to four keynote addresses, the conference will include a variety of presentations relevant to clinical psychological science, assessment, and practice. We are seeking presentations in the form of data blitzes (stand alone 15- or 30- minute talks presenting original research data), research symposia (a 60 minute research presentation featuring 3-5 presenters), TED Talk-style Presentations (15 minute talks that do not present data but stimulate thought-provoking discussion on a conference-relevant topic), panel discussions (60 minutes featuring 3-5 panelists), and poster presentations. All topics relevant to the conference theme will be considered, but we are particularly interested in presentations related to health equity; open science; technology (including AI/ML); suicide prevention and crisis response; dissemination and implementation; efficacy and effectiveness; assessment; neuroscience and neuromodulation; clinical training and licensure; ethics; serious mental illness; and resilience. We welcome proposals from individuals at any career stage (including students) and in any professional setting (including industry and independent practice settings). If you are accepted to present, you will be asked to provide a conflict of interest statement and a signed video release for each participant"

Due Date for Proposals: Proposals are due by 11:59 P.M. Eastern Time on Wednesday, November 15 We anticipate having final decisions regarding acceptance by early December. If your proposal is accepted, you will be expected to register for the conference
