Apply to Become an SCP Institute Awardee At Our Inaugural Conference!

As part of their inaugural conference, APA Division 12 is excited to announce a pre-convention day focused on professional development and mentorship for early career (advanced graduate student* - up to 10 years post-graduation) and mid-career (11-20 years post-graduation) professionals. This pre-convention day will take place on the day before the conference (Thursday, February 1st, 2024) from approximately 8:30am-4:30pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of programing applicable to clinical psychologists of diverse backgrounds and practices.

The Society of Clinical Psychology is proud to offer complimentary registration to the pre-conference programming to those whose applications are selected. Additionally, those awarded registration to the pre-conference will receive a 25% discount on registration for the conference.

In line with the conference's focus on the future of clinical psychology, the institutes are tailored to helping early-career psychologists deepen their clinical skills to set themselves up for professional success and assisting mid-career psychologists in enhancing their leadership skills to maximize their impact on supporting the field in successfully navigating the myriad challenges it faces.

Morning sessions will feature mentorship activities, followed by a lunch mixer, and workshops in the afternoon.

Interested candidates may upload a CV and 1 page cover letter discussing their goals for their relevant Institute. If accepted, you will be asked to submit payment per below prior to the conference:

SCP Early Career Institute Awardee must be an advanced graduate student* - 0-10 years from initial licensure
